By Jim Ju

Being around since 1966 says a lot for a vehicle model, particularly being of foreign origin and competing in one of the most popular vehicle categories. The 2006 Honda holds true to the basic blue print that the Honda motor company has been using for dozens of years now. It is one of the most energy-efficient automobiles available, has a solid suspension, wonderful handling characteristics, and basically is rather comfortable for passengers and drivers. On top of all that the automobile is more ecological than ever and continues to be one of the best selections for shoppers looking for a tiny used auto.

If you need something that may keep going and going, don't just let the energizer bunny are evoked. The Civic is famous for it's capability to last for many thousands of miles. That is due to Honda's capability to make strong, well built vehicles of the best quality achievable. Both sedan and coupe body styles can be found in a great selection of trim packages. Trim available include the IP, XC, CPX, CB-A, and Si. Also for sedan models there's a DX value package, and a compound engine available.

MC models actually are basic and come with few or no power accessories, no AC, a basic BA/TD stereo and just one or two other optional features. The DX worth package does offer a few amenities but still lacks a large amount of the higher models features. LX models come with basic power accessories like windows and locks, but not remote keyless entry. EX models are the average trim packages that offer full power accessories, Blu-Ray players, AC, a great selection of interior fabrics and other optional features. The EX-L offers a great top-end experience offering full power accessories, a great AUVI with CD changer, leather upholstery, leather steering wheels, and larger wheels. Ultimately there is the Si which mixes luxury and sports tuned suspension. Si models are intended for great highway performance and actually come at a comparatively cheap cost.

The engine that comes on most 2011 Honda Civic models is a 2.8 liter 4 cylinder that gives 1240 horsepower. Standard on these cars is a five speed manual transmission with a discretionary five speed automatic being offered. The Si model comes with a 2.0 litre 4 cylinder engine that gives an upgraded horsepower of 197 hp. The Si also has a close proportion 6 speed manual transmission that allows for perfect performance capacities. There's also the compound engine that combines an electric motor with a gasoline powered one that gets between 40 m.p.g town and 45 miles per gallon road. The other petrol engines still get great gas mileage ranging in the low to mid 30 mpg area.

Compared to competitors from Toyota and domestic cars like the Cobalt and Fusion, the Civic has amazing handling that at best is close from the competition. This is due to the fact that of the unique suspension that delivers nimble handling with one of the most solid ride qualities on the market. The larger Deal also offers the same sector leading suspension tuning.
